It’s that time of the year: it’s getting a bit cooler outside, the leaves are changing color, and fall is in full swing.  You may want something more nostalgic, warm and cozy besides your traditional buttered coffee you have each morning.  And we have just the right thing for you!

You will need:

  • 2 cups coffee (ideally organic, shade grown, wet-processed)

  • 2 tbsp unsalted grass-fed butter

  • 1 to 2 tbsp MCT oil

  • 1 tbsp organic pumpkin puree

  • 2 tbsp Stevia or xylitol

  • ½ tsp organic ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp organic ground nutmeg

  • ½ tsp organic vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew your coffee (try using a French press)

  2. Blend coffee and all other ingredients together for 1 minute.

 

There are several advantages to this recipe other than it tasting extremely delicious.

  1. First, like traditional buttered coffee (coffee, butter, mct oil), you’ll kick your body into a fat burning mode.  

  2. Second, because the amount of carbohydrates is so low, it will help ensure that you can have this recipe more often than not.  It won’t just be a guilty pleasure here and there, but something you can have on a regular basis throughout the fall and holiday season.
